Terms of Service.

1 · The service

Watch Buyer · AI (“we”, “us”) operates a service that makes purchase offers on pre-owned watches. Quotes are generated conversationally by an automated buying assistant (“Watchy”) using live market data and the information you provide. By using the service you agree to these terms.

2 · Quotes and offers

A quote is an offer to purchase, not an appraisal or a statement of fair market value. Quotes labelled firm are held for 72 hours from issue; indicative quotes are subject to specialist confirmation; specialist referrals carry no number until a specialist responds. A quote lapses automatically when its hold expires, and we may decline to quote any item.

All quotes assume the information you provide — reference, year, condition, completeness of box and papers, polish history — is accurate, and that the watch is authentic, fully functional unless disclosed otherwise, and yours to sell free of any lien or encumbrance.

3 · Shipping

After you accept an offer we provide a prepaid FedEx label. The parcel is insured for the offer amount from carrier acceptance scan to delivery at our facility. Use the label and packaging guidance we provide; items shipped any other way travel at your own risk.

4 · Inspection and revisions

Every watch is inspected on arrival and the inspection is video-documented. If the watch matches its description, the accepted offer stands. If it materially differs, we will send you an itemised revised offer; you may accept it or decline, in which case we return the watch to you at our cost, insured. If a watch is determined to be counterfeit, we may be legally unable to return it and may be required to report it.

5 · Payment

We pay by wire or ACH within 48 hours of completed inspection (or of your acceptance of a revised offer). Title to the watch passes to us on payment. We may require identity verification and proof of ownership before paying, and may cancel a transaction where fraud or unlawful origin is suspected.

6 · Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. The service is currently offered to sellers shipping from within the United States.

7 · Acceptable use

• No automated, scripted, or bulk querying of the quote chat.
• No submitting items you do not own or are not authorised to sell.
• No misrepresenting an item’s identity, condition, or provenance.

8 · Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is”. Market data is sourced from third parties and may contain errors; conversational responses are generated by an AI system and may occasionally be inaccurate — the accepted written offer, not chat commentary, is the binding figure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the accepted offer amount of the transaction concerned.

9 · Changes

We may update these terms; the version in force when you accept an offer governs that transaction. Material changes will be posted on this page.
