Overview
The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver ref. 15703ST represents the first generation of the Offshore line's dedicated dive watch, introduced around 2010. Built around a 42 mm stainless steel case, it pairs the collection's signature bold architecture with genuine 300-metre water resistance. The black Méga Tapisserie dial — a scaled-up interpretation of the Royal Oak's iconic Petite Tapisserie — anchors the watch firmly within AP's design language.
History
Audemars Piguet introduced the Royal Oak Offshore Diver in the early 2010s as the first Offshore reference engineered specifically for diving, rather than adapted from a sport or chronograph platform. The 15703ST, produced in stainless steel, ran through the first generation of the model until approximately 2013, when it was succeeded by an updated reference. Among collectors it is regarded as the purest early expression of the Offshore Diver concept, before the line expanded into a broader range of materials and dial options.
Notable points
- First-generation Royal Oak Offshore Diver, purpose-built for 300 m water resistance.
- Powered by Calibre 3120, AP's in-house automatic movement with a 60-hour power reserve.
- 42 mm stainless steel case with the Offshore's characteristic octagonal bezel and integrated crown-protection system.
- Black Méga Tapisserie dial is a bold, large-scale evolution of the Royal Oak's classic Petite Tapisserie pattern.
- Produced for a relatively short window (c. 2010–2013), making it a sought-after first-generation reference.
