Overseas Chronograph

The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph reference 5500V/110A-B075 represents the third generation of the Overseas line, introduced in 2016 as a thorough re-engineering of the collection. Housed in a 42.5 mm stainless steel case, it pairs a silver sunburst dial with the in-house Calibre 5200, a column-wheel chronograph movement developed entirely within the manufacture. The result is a watch that bridges haute horlogerie finishing standards with the functional demands of a true sport-chronograph.

The Overseas line traces its roots to 1996, itself a spiritual successor to the 222 of 1977 — a reference widely credited as one of the earliest luxury integrated-bracelet sport watches. The 2016 third generation marked a decisive step toward full manufacture independence, with Vacheron Constantin developing dedicated in-house calibres for each complication in the range. The 5500V series also introduced an interchangeable-strap system, allowing the wearer to switch between the integrated steel bracelet, a leather strap, and a rubber strap using a single tool. This generation has remained in continuous production, cementing the Overseas Chronograph's place as a long-running pillar of the collection.
